Doctrinal Statement

  1. We believe in the absolute authority and complete inerrancy of scripture. (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Pet. 1:12-19, 1 Pet. 1:10-21, 25)
  2. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Christ of the Scriptures is 100% God and 100% man. He is sinless and the only way of salvation. He was born of a virgin without a human father begotten by God the Father. (Luke 1:35, John 1:1, Heb. 1:8; 3:15)
  3. We believe in the trinity of the Godhead. God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. (1 Tim. 3:17, Gal. 4:6, 2 Cor. 13:14)
  4. We believe that Christ was resurrected literally and bodily from the grave and is ascended to the right hand of the Father where He makes intercession on behalf of His people. (1 Cor. 15:1-8, Eph. 1:8, Heb. 7:25)
  5. We believe that Christ will come again literally and bodily to receive His people to Himself. (John 14:3, Acts 1:11)
  6. We believe that all men are fallen in sin, are dead in their sins and deserving of eternal punishment, with no ability to save themselves from the power and penalty of their sins. (Rom. 3:10-19, 23, Eph. 2:1)
  7. We believe that Christ died as a substitute for sinners and that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. All who look savingly to Him are preserved forever and persevere to the end. (1 Cor. 15:3, Eph. 2:8-10, Mt. 24:13, John 10:27-29)
  8. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the righteous and the wicked unto judgment. The righteous will live eternally with Christ and the wicked will be cast into eternal punishment in hell. (Mt. 25:31-46, John 5:28-29, 1 Cor. 15:51-57, Rev. 20:11-15)
  9. We believe that the Christ who saves also sanctifies His disciples. Those who know Christ savingly are His disciples and follow Him; growing in grace and holiness. Obedience to Christ is desired by every true believer and ever true believer is enabled to live a holy and obedient life by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. This obedience and holiness are never perfect in this life but increase with Christian growth and maturity. Christian sanctification is therefore gradual and ongoing and is complete in the eternal state. (Rom. 6:5, 2 Cor. 7:1, Gal. 5:24, Eph. 3:16-19, Eph. 2:10, 1 Thess. 5:21-23, Heb. 12:14, 1Pet. 2:11, 12)
